Phase I Renovation Project

The first phase of our building renovation project involves the replacement of the windows and exterior doors in the office areas, the Fellowship Hall, and the Preschool classrooms. Thanks be to God for all the faithful workers and volunteers who are doing all this fine work for the House of the Lord, and for all the members and friends of our congregation who have supported this effort through their time, talents, and treasures !

Check back on this page for photo updates on the progress of the renovations.

Memorial Day Weekend : After emptying the classrooms and Fellowship Hall, the siding is removed.
Exterior

While that was going on, the interior wallboard and moldings were removed. These photos are from the Fellowship Hall.

Interior Demolition

By the following weekend, the old windows and framing had been removed, and new framing installed. To keep the weather out, the window openings in the plywood were not cut until the windows were ready to install.

From the inside, you can see the areas framed out for the new windows. The doors have not yet been replaced in these photos.

June 10th : By now, the new windows have been installed on the front of the Fellowship Hall and Preschool classrooms :

And the new door was installed. The one for the back entrance to the Fellowship Hall is awaiting installation.

June 17th : A view inside one of the classrooms. The arch windows above the main double hung windows have now been installed.

And again in the Fellowship Hall.

Next, the insulation can go in....

...and the exterior trim can go up.

Then, the siding goes up outside....

... and the walls inside are prepped for plastering.

The exterior trim is just about done... and some much needed air conditioners installed to help keep the offices cool during the recent heatwave !

Meanwhile, inside the walls are nearly ready for priming and painting !
